#1 Rule: Allowed Avians ONLY, Don't make your own Avian for this contest, or you will be disqualified (It removes the point of the prize duh)
#2 Rule: Nothing pornographic please
#3 Rule: No fighting or flaming... for obvious reasons.

The contest will be judged based on a few Criteria:
1: Anatomy: The artist's attention to Avian traits and anatomy.
2: Style: The ability to draw more then a carbon copy of the refs.
3: Action: Standard standing pose is boring, let’s spice it up some.
4: Colour: Seeing how well the artist applies colour theory. (Not needed, but it always helps)
5: Background: Yes I know Avians look cool just floating there, but let’s put the characters somewhere. (Not needed, but helps)
6: Emotion: Avians have feelings too
7: Story: Write a little knowledge into what is happening to complete the image, and bring the viewer into the moment. (Story blurb)

Q and A

•When is the deadline?
~In a month, aka May 15th 2009

•Can I draw more then one Avian?
~Yes, if it is to your liking you could draw all of them in one image oO

•Can I make more then one entry?
~Yes, but remember, quality over quantity

•Can I include one of my characters?
~Yes, but remember that it would be AU (alternate universe) and thusly removes some of the canon of the image.

•Can I know more then what is posted on the character sheets about the characters?
~Yes totally, First place to look is other images of said character. If that is not enough, then try noting the owner of said Avian and asking them.

•How do I hand in my submission?
~I thought that there would be a couple days before I would have to think about this, but for now leave a link in this journal, and when I post the Entries journal, post a link in the journal there.

•I Can't draw scales but I want to enter, What do I do?
~Just because a bunch of friends and I are experimenting with drawing scales, doesn't mean you have to draw them.

•Can I draw the human form of the Avian character?
~Sure, as long as you can find reference, if you want to design a human form for one of the avians, please ask their owners about it.

•Will you judge me differently if I choose to do my entry in either Traditional/Digital.
~I won't judge people on the mediums they choose to do their entries in, all mediums are allowed ^^
