These are not cactaur! They do not run from battle and are not shaped like one, so if someone comments with the bright idea of saying that they are, then I will not be held responcible for my actions...

I have 2 "non-playable" humanoid races in XM, one is an aquatic mermaid type race. while the other is these.
I wanted to create a plant type race, but vines, flowers, mushrooms, and etc were just either too boreing, or generic. So I thought that cacti would fit perfectly, the problem is to make them not look like cactaurs, which is a LOT harder then it seems, since every game has them look slightly different.

These things are sposed to be the work force of XM, they can understand common speech, but cannot speak it. They are generally passive, for they live long lives and really have no reason to cause harm, for harm usually causes harm to itself when it comes in contact.

They continue growing untill they can no longer support their weight, causeing them to collapse and die. when they are large they grow buds that flower. once the flower is pollenized it falls off and becomes another one. The smaller flowers are actually another plant that lives in symbiocy with them, it attracts insects that pollenate both flowers.

I still do not have a name for their species, I was thinking something like mandrake, after the mythical plant that screams when you pull it out of the ground.
