She travels across the world in a rite of passage that has been passed down to her through birth right. Her quest is to travel to all of the sacred temples placed there by the Avians, to repair the seals on the holy relics...
Those relics, so powerful, that if in the hand of man it spells disaster.
Little does she know one already is....

Ok so I decided that I wanted to try to draw something in Amano's style, just because I remember playing ff6 (ff3 at the time) and enjoying the little images in the book.
But Oh man, Imitating his style is a lot harder then I thought it would be. XD

This is Naya, and yes I do know a lot of things are still not perfect.

I dare you guys to try to see if you can draw your characters in the Amano style.

Contrary to popular belief, this is all digital, not traditional. Although I did try to make it look traditional.

Ohhh I think I'm going to have to take you up on that dare, Ty XD I've always wanted to try Amano's style, it's so strange, yet strangely appealing.

But yis, you've got some gorgeous stuff going for you here, the flow is really nice, and good job at making it look traditional, it came out looking almost like watercolour.

Here's one. Pokemon, done Amano. Actually, I might give that a go :D

Oh, wow, you nailed his soft watercolor-like coloring style, and the flowing pose and clothing! I love it!
:iconrikam:
Beautiful posing, rich colours, patterns and just the whole design of the character. You highlighted the detailness of the character nicely by keeping the bg simple.
And you definitely fooled me thinking it was done traditionally.

R-r-raindrops, me love 'em :raincloud:

this looks wonderful, like the others, i'm impressed by your ability to create a traditional look with digital tools. one little crit i have to mention though, is that her back foot seems too small or narrow to me. it looks great otherwise :)
:iconfeatherdragoon:
Ah yes, that odd water-colourl-like style that I'm not entirely sure what it is. Definitly a personal challenge.
Interesting, though, as your picture reminds me of Crystal Chronicals with the Water staff looking something like one of the chalices from that game.
