Back before the time of humans, the world was ruled by a pack of wolves. They were powerful and they knew it. They went around boasting about their prowess, Challenging others, and picking on the ones who couldn't match them.
Erashin the god of Travel became annoyed at their obnoxious pride, and came down in the form of a crow to challenge them.
The wolves laughed at the bird asking at how such a small animal could hope to best them. But they did accept for not to would be admitting defeat.
Erashin raced the wolves across great distances, across dangerous lands, and even across the ocean. He made sure to keep even pace with the wolves so they would keep their confidence.
Eventually they reached a fire field, the nearby volcano had recently cleansed the land. The wolves boasted about how not even the fire could catch their shift forms, and raced across the field.
One by one they all fell to the flames, except for one. He had stayed from the field in fear. Happy that one of the wolves had some sense Erashin showed his form. Immediately the lone wolf begged and pleaded him for his pack back.
Erashin gave in and brought them back, but not without a price. He brought them back to live forever in flame, to forever be reminded of their foolish pride. -------- I am actually really happy as to how this came out, for it is like my first full attempt at making a photomanip out of a bunch of photos. And Yes this is what the cinders look like in the day time. for their fur has the consistency of the white morning coals you would see in a fire pit. At night their fur glows with the intensity of fire.
This is awesome. I really like how the bony part of the face is integrated so smoothly with the fur, and the fire is amazing. Great story behind it too!
i really love such pics
A beautifully created vision there that has a just as imaginative back story there.
