This is an image I made for Anime North, which was started like mid march, and then I thought maybe I could enter it in the Okami contest, but I decided not too since it wasn't that great and way too unoriginal.\\\
man I played through the beginning hour of that game just to get reference for that cursed zone... that game has the longest intro ever!
I'll post other fanarts I did then maybe tomorrow not to swarm you all with my ugly fanarts XD

Lemme tell you that making that brushstroke look like a brushstroke was a challenge in photoshop

Oh god the composition on this is BEAUTIFUL <33
That pose choice makes me smile since alot of fan art I see of okami is just a boring old standing pose ;D I LOVE the brush stroke on the tail, the transparent effect is delicious lol
I also love how soft the colors are from the left hand corner and then suddenly change to a more malicious setting of the curse zone, awesome balance. X3 Plus the way you do fire kicks ass lol.

I kind of regret not buying one at AN. I think I mostly regret not being able to tell you how great I think it is xD
I think you did an awesome job on this, especially on the fire... and the cursed part. Both draw me in so much. I reallly love it :heart:.

Illustrator has some really nice default brushes that look like real brush strokes... at least I think so :D
