Avian Feather

Description

Hiro and James woke up early for the trip through Parriah. They looked over to see a missing Kilara, so they quickly got dressed and started to look for her.
Over a hilltop they saw a feather dancing, and as it got closer they noticed it was Kilara carrying a huge feather.
She was smiling fro ear to ear at what she had found, and was quite eager to show it off to her 'family'.

I decided to slap down some colours on this sketch I have had on my hard drive for some time now, not the best of sketches, but I liked the feeling and motion of it, and you know the way that good sketches can loose their feeling if you redo them?
So ignore the shoddy line quality on this one XD

This was originally draw as an insight as to how huge some feathers on the avians must be. Heck, some are prolly much larger.
Thats a pinnion feather btw
I find it amusing when people strive to make their characters HUGE, when you look at it from the small side and you really just get that feeling of wtf?

so yeah I don't have much more to say about this, other then it is just fun... and I hope you find it fun as well. ^^

This, for some reason, greatly amused me. Though mostly I'm wondering about the guy's expressions. I get the guy on the left--I'd be shocked too! But what's with the crabby face on the guy on the left? :hmm: Trying to imagine what he's thinking: "You know sooner or later she's going to try to tickle us with that." I don't know, but his face of 'i am so not amused' really made me laugh. :giggle:

:D I guess even with a feather that big, it's light er, as a feather, so easy to carry! It looks like it would make a great parachute or wind surfer! Size comparisons are fantastic. By the way, that DOES really look like a pinion feather. Good job on the details.
